I want a Symbiose user account

To obtain a Symbiose user account, just click on the [First-Time User] link; you’ll find it on the upper left-hand side of the home page.

Once the page is loaded, enter your UQAT permanent code (employee number for staff) as well as your social insurance number Then, all you have to do is choose a password Do not divulge it to anyone. This password will be used to access the whole of UQAT’s Computing Services, whether computer lab accounts, email, etc.

All of the fields on the First-time Users Page are case-sensitive (differentiate between capital and lower-case letters). Make sure to enter the information exactly as you first typed it.

I want to start a Symbiose session

To start a Symbiose session, just enter your username and password in the appropriate boxes on the Session Start Page.

I’ve forgotten my password, I want a new one

To get a new password, just enter your username in the box created for this purpose. Click on [Submit] and your personal questions will appear. Answer them and you will be able to choose a new password.

Wait a few moments before reconnecting to lab computers and your email account, as well as other software applications. Your new password will then be synchronised with each of the available Computing Services options.

To obtain a new password, just click on the [I’ve Forgotten my Password] link in the gray bar at the top of the page. Once you’ve identified yourself (using your username) click on [Submit]. Your personal questions will appear. Answer them and you will be able to choose a new password.

My account is locked, I want to unlock it

In order to unlock your account, click on [Unlock My Account] at the top of the page. Enter your username and your personal questions will appear. Answer them and you will be able to choose a new password In doing so, your account will be unlocked.
